DARK WATERCOLOURS (2012-2013)

Made from many layers of brighly hued watercolours and marked with vivid lines of pencil crayon, these works on paper mark a turning point in my work and in my life. A shift in my practice due to the onset of Parkinson's Disease is marked by these works as they record a search for a quietude and require a working space akin to meditation. Grey from a distance, yet myopically pungent with colour, the work serves as a record of the traces made by my shaking body.
